BusinessWorld Online: Midweek proclamation set; Lanao del Sur votes remain
THE PROCLAMATION of the next president and vice-president was set for tomorrow with only one certificate of canvass (CoC) from Lanao del Sur to be counted today and the accompanying report drafted for approval by the joint session.
Even with 360,000 votes expected to be tallied from the province in the Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao, latest tallies indicated that Senator Benigno Simeon "Noynoy" C. Aquino III and Makati City Mayor Jejomar "Jojo" C. Binay have statistically insurmountable leads in the presidential and vice-presidential race, respectively.
