Kate Kelly: Election in Arkansas May Change Face of Financial Reform - CNBC
Minister of state for Information and Communication, Mr. Labaran Maku has said President Goodluck Jonathan is determined to ensure that credible elections are held in 2011.
Speaking in Abuja during Actionaid Nigera’s public presentation of a report on its recent project "Strengthening Action Against Electoral Violence in Nigeria (SAAEVIN)", Maku identified the constitution of an unbiased electoral umpire as the primary challenge for free and fair elections.
He also identified the existence of a government that is determined to provide an enabling environment for credible elections as another important factor, adding that the present administration has demonstrated its keen resolve to conduct free and fair elections in the two areas.
